The history reveals that the Raja Sawai Jai Singh shifted his capital city from Amber to the Jaipur city. The city of Jaipur was of the fully planned and well-designed city of the ancient India. The ancient books of Indian history reveal that the Pink City, Jaipur was designed by one of the great Bengali architect, Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. It is a magnificent piece of architecture whose reorganization won’t fade away with time. It was in the year 1876; the whole city was coloured pink in the honour of Queen Elizabeth II and the Prince Albert. From that time the pink colour has been associated with Jaipur and thus the placed got its name as the pink city.
In the Jaipur city there are numerous sights of the tourists’ attraction. The city of Jaipur has attracted many foreign tourists. The main reason behind it is the rich cultural heritage and the availability of the fabulous forts.The famous royal palaces, magnificent forts and Havelis are indeed a unique picturesque of the pink city, Jaipur. The Hawa Mahal in Jaipur is one of the major tourist attractions. Also the City Palace built by the Kachchwah Rajput rulers is a fine and an excellent piece of architecture. Later, a part of the palace is turned into museum for the foreign tourists to gather knowledge about the rich culture and heritage of the ancient India.
Another amazing sight of the Pink City is the Jantar Mantar. It was built by Sawai Jai Singh to observe the movements of the star. It was made up of marble stones and red stones. Raja Man Singh built the famous Amber Fort on a hilltop. It is also a marvelous fort and a major sight of tourist attraction. The whole fort was built of red stones and white marble stones. Excluding these forts there are many other splendid forts. Some of the other forts include Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort. Also there are some amazing temples like Lazmi Narayan temple, Govind Deoji Mandir temple and so on.
