Heath Tips During India Travel

To make a trip a memorable one, traveler should ensure their good health. Health consciousness has always played a vital role to make a tour gratifying. In fact, the prime essence of making a trip pleasant is good health. Before beginning any expedition, you need to check up your health to avoid any adversities. As such, vaccination of yellow fever should be taken before making a wildlife or jungle safari trip in India. Also, it is recommended to carry general medicines and antibiotics to ensure preventive measures. Following are the list of some preventive items that should be with every traveler while exploring in India: -

1. Tap water should not be drink. Only drink water after boiling or use bottled water. You can buy mineral water bottle available at most of the outlets. But keep in mind that the outlet is decent. Don’t buy water bottle from a roadside vendor. Also check the seal before purchasing the bottle.

2. Don’t eat the fruits sold by roadside vendors, which are already cut. Always purchase fresh fruits, wash the fruits properly and then use them.

3. Keep the mosquito repellent with you. But you don’t need to worry much about it, as very rare places are mosquito-prone. In low winter and rainy season it is must as few insects may be active during these seasons.

4. Keep a first aid kit always with you, which contains all basic medicines as the tablet for stomach, headache, vomiting, fever as well as some antiseptic-ointments, band-aids etc.

5. Try to avoid the food from roadside vendors but if it is essential, make sure that the food is finely cooked and taken hot.

6. Indian cuisines are too spicy compared to European & American. So avoid over eating.

7. If you are going to visit India in summer, consume lots of water to avoid dehydration, cover your head with caps/hats, wear dark glasses and use sunscreens. Try not to venture out in afternoon to avoid sunburns & other skin problems.

8. Also visit doctor if you feel very sick.

Also, intake of fibrous foods, fruits and salads are necessary to keep yourself healthy during the India tour.
